Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress, best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is active in films theater and on television. She began her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. The actress gained prominence for her role as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make appearances on BET's acclaimed TV series The Book of Negroes. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is best known for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television her regular role on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her praises.
