Antonia Lofaso's cuisine is an invitation to explore the possibilities within her. It is her food that inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse environment in Los Angeles. Lofaso worked as an apprentice of culinary experts, absorbing their techniques and taking chances. She did not hesitate to take risks to pursue her instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago before moving into working closely with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso and Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to create Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso found her place in Black Market, and through the alliances she made. Lofaso's creative freedom would be fostered with this partnership. Black Market has no one plan in sight and is the same way. The first course could be chip dill, followed by shishitos peppers.
